Working for quite some time now, the new version brings some changes and improvements to the browser but Android users will have to wait before installing the latest update on their devices. But the update is said to cause issues with apps on Android devices, and according to a report by 9to5Google, more than 60 issues about Chrome 96 have been flagged in Google's bug tracker, and several users on the Google support forum have reported that some of the apps on their Android smartphones that cannot be downloaded after installing the latest Chrome update. Google acknowledged the issues and assured users that it was working on them. Although the company started rolling out the update last month, it was widely released to a large number of users last week. Chrome 96 brings forward-to-back cache support for the desktop version. With this feature, the browser will save some data from the frequently visited or recently visited website to make navigating through it faster. Apart from this, the browser will also get a new site-wide dark theme mode which allows users to enable dark theme for specific websites. With the update, the company also discontinued the sync feature for Chrome users who are still using the browser version M48 or earlier, and for those who don't know, the browser's Chrome sync feature stores passwords, bookmarks, search history, open tabs, and favorite settings on the company's server. This feature helps you to access all the information stored across different devices using the same Google account, and also helps you to automatically sign in to Gmail, YouTube and other Google services.
