The UEFA added that the draw will be repeated at 1400 GMT today (six o'clock in the evening UAE time), without revealing other details regarding the technical defect that rarely occurs.

The UEFA then announced the re-draw, as it seems that the ball bearing the name Manchester United was not included in the bowl of the teams qualified to face Atletico Madrid.
"As a result, the result of the previous draw has been cancelled, and will be re-run in full at 1500 CET."
The lot mistakenly placed Manchester United with Villarreal, although the two teams met in the group stage.
The errors continued when it was the turn to identify Atletico Madrid's rival, as the program ignored the Manchester United card.
United clashed in the end with Paris Saint-Germain, while Atletico met Bayern Munich, and the Spanish team said that it had consulted with UEFA "to explain the matter and find solutions after this error."
