The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) obtained the ISO 9001 certification in the Institutional Quality Management System for the regulation of telecommunications services in the Egyptian market, by one of the major international accreditation bodies. It is worth noting that the NTRA, at the international level, had advanced 54 places in the international ranking in the performance index of telecom regulators around the world for the year 2020 issued by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), to rank 41 among 193 countries, compared to 95 in 2019.
The device also advanced 43 international positions in the mobile e-wallets regulatory index for the year 2020 issued by the International Mobile Telephone Networks Association (GSMA), to become the 36th among 90 countries that adopt this type of service in the world, compared to the 79th position in 2019.
