A recent study stated that the use of a mobile phone for 1000 hours, or a period of not less than 17 minutes a day, over a period of 10 years increases the risk of cancerous tumors by up to 60%.

According to the researchers, the radiation issued by the mobile phone signals "interferes with cellular mechanisms", as it can lead to the formation of stress proteins that cause DNA damage and tumors, leading to cell death in severe cases.

The study showed, an increase of 87% of homes that have at least one device in 2011, to more than 95% in 2020.

The author of the study, Joel Moskovitz, said that people should reduce time on mobile phones, keep them away from their bodies, and use a landline for calls wherever possible..

Moskovitz pointed out that the studies that examine the link between the use of a mobile phone and cancer are controversial, as he said it is a "highly sensitive political issue".

For its part, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) denied any connection, explaining that there is no fixed or reliable scientific evidence for health problems caused by exposure to wireless frequency energy from mobile phones.
