OPay Egypt, the leading company in the field of financial technology and electronic payments, announced the opening of its first store in Egypt in the Fifth Settlement, to provide all the company's services and products to individuals and companies.
The move comes as part of OPay's expansion plan in the Egyptian market, and to build on the company's success last year by distributing tens of thousands of points of sale, increasing its resellers and retailers, and becoming the fastest growing FinTech industry one year after its launch.
Hesham Ezz El-Din, Director of Digital and Cards Business Department at OPay Egypt, said: “We are pleased to launch the first OPay store in the Egyptian market, one of the largest markets in the Middle East and Africa, as part of the company’s strategy to keep pace with the Egyptian state’s trend towards financial inclusion, digital transformation and Egypt’s Vision 2030.” .
Ezz El-Din said that the company's customers will be able to recharge their phone balance and make electronic payments for a number of services including paying mobile phone bills, as well as paying their utility bills and paying tuition fees for schools and universities, among other services.
He also stressed that the company will gradually open more stores in many Egyptian cities and governorates to serve a wider customer base, as well as add electronic collection services through coordination and partnership with other companies in the same field.
OPay won the Best Digital Payment Solution Provider award from the London-based Global Economy Corporation, which specializes in providing detailed analysis of companies' performance in various financial and business sectors.
