A new report issued by CIRP revealed some interesting information about what is happening for old smartphones. The search includes data on the number of iPhone users who sell or trade their devices compared to Android devices.
Based on the research, CIRP found that the iPhone used usually found in a better condition compared to the Android phones used.
For example, more than 65 percent of the iPhone used for 12 months with a good condition was found. بينما ينخفض هذا الرقم إلى أقل من 60 في المئة عندما يتعلق الأمر بالهواتف الذكية التي تعمل بنظام أندرويد.
Android phones have a better battery life compared to Apple devices and even if Android phones become old, the battery remains stable while it does not work on the iPhone.
23 percent of iPhone users reported that their phone battery lasted for a full day without recharge after one year of use.
While 30 percent of Android users were still able to keep their smartphones not connected to shipping for a full day after 12 months.
The report shows that the number of devices that become unused after one year is very low.

For both iPhone and Android phones, less than 10 percent of users broke their phones after a year. While less than 20 percent noticed that the battery only lasts for a few hours.
CIRP indicates that since the phones have become more durable, people take longer to replace them with a new phone.
Most of the phones are still working in good condition with usable screens and batteries that last or most of the day.
Therefore, many phones used, replaced, or given to a family member are sold or preserved for use in the future.
According to Cirp, it sells less than 10 percent of iPhone or Android users of their old phones. While the vast majority of Android users keep their previous smartphones, approximately 30 percent of iPhone owners waive them in exchange programs.
Apple is increasingly pushing the program to upgrade its devices. However, stores and other communications companies often pay a higher price for the iPhone used more than similar Android phones.
It is worth noting that the poll was based in the United States. Therefore, the results may differ in other regions.
