According to the latest figures issued by the National Agency for Regulating Telecommunications, INWI has lost 594,000 customers/. Although telecom operators in Morocco have seen a decline in the number of mobile subscribers, 80% of all this decline is incurred by INWI.
According to the same figures, Maroc Telecom lost 65,000 subscribers during the first three months of this year, while Meditel lost 69,000, bringing the total, in addition to what Inwi lost, to 728,000 mobile phone subscribers in Morocco. .
As for the average time spent by a Moroccan individual making calls on a mobile phone, according to the “Transportation Regulatory Agency,” it increased slightly by three minutes, during the period between March 2014 and March 2015, and post-pay subscribers also increased. post-payé” with 77 minutes per month. However, Maroc Telecom was the company that benefited the most from the development.
The increase in the average call duration for the Moroccan individual, as shown by the telecom gendarmerie, is due to the decline witnessed in the cost of calls after the price of calculating the minute in the post-pay service fell, and it reached 22 percent, to move from 0.41 to 0.32 dirhams without calculating fees, and this within one year.
