Every year, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha, which comes on the tenth of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, and brings joy and happiness to people, especially children. There are a lot of ideas to prepare for the feast. With us is Professor of Sharia at the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion, Bahija Abdul Mohsen; To talk about the duty of the mother and lessons learned for her children on the feast
Members of the Muslim family meet shortly before the Eid, in order to plan for the Eid, receive it, celebrate it, prepare its supplies, such as clothes and gifts, prepare the requirements of each individual, and set the appropriate times for visiting Neighbors and relatives, listening to points of view, and not ridiculing them, with the aim of achieving harmony and love between the members of the same family.
The head of the family should teach his sons and daughters how to receive the Eid by teaching them how to say the takbeer, its time, and its formula, while involving the child in distributing Sadaqah al-Fitr, explaining its form and importance to them, and taking the children to the Eid prayer.
Explain its importance by taking them to visit relatives and neighbors, congratulating them on the holiday, teaching them the importance of tolerance, forgiveness, and smiling face when seeing others, with children playing, having fun, and having fun.
And we must not forget to remember the duty of Muslims towards the poor, needy, widows, orphans and the sick, just as a Muslim must receive Eid by learning about the etiquette and Sunnah of Eid, namely: taking a bath before going to the Eid prayer
Eat some food before going out for the Eid al-Fitr prayer, and eat after the Eid al-Adha prayer. Takbeer and Tahleel on the day of Eid, which is one of the greatest Sunnahs of Eid
This is done with expressions of congratulations that are customary on the feast, such as: May God accept from us and from you, and Eid Mubarak, and so on, with beautification and adornment for the two feasts; As the man must wear the most beautiful clothes that he has before going to the Eid prayer, and the children also wear new, clean and beautiful clothes.
Preparing Eid foods, Muslims receive Eid through pre-preparation of foods, but without extravagance and waste in that, as Muslims in the past or present time still prepare various foods for this great occasion
Represented in takbir, tahlil, supplication, dhikr, and wearing new clothes, and therefore these aspects must be acted upon, which show children an aspect of celebrating Islamic holidays.
Participate with your children in making holiday decorations by allowing them to make holiday decorations. This is done by having the child write some messages related to the holiday, then put them in stickers using three or more different languages.
You can also help the child write posters in foreign languages or search for their content on the Internet, then decorate the posters and hang them in various parts of the house.
...in the country in which they live...is one of the aspects of celebrating Eid. Parents can also contribute to the search for interesting and easy-to-wear costumes for their children, in order to motivate them to wear it; Such as: hats, turbans, and so on.
What do you think of the idea of speed racing? Speed races unload a large amount of children's energy before inviting them to eat ice cream and sweets on holidays. For example, relay races, three-legged races, and other fast races can be held.
Invitees can be allowed to choose their partners in the race or connect them with good partners, and they are chosen according to their age. As for young children, they can be involved with their parents in competitions. The obstacle race can also be prepared in advance and the invitees can enjoy racing through it.
What do you think about planning a trip that includes walking in a specific path in the open air, camping in the wilderness, while enjoying spending time around the campfire, which gives invitees the possibility to spend a night or two away from the crowds of the city, and it is an opportunity for interaction and direct communication .
Children make simple gifts on the occasion of Eid, present them to their friends and relatives, or read an interesting story about Eid to children, helping them to provide donations and food to the needy and shelters.
and Eid drinks. Joy and happiness can also be brought into the hearts of children on Eid by presenting them with beautiful gifts, including: electronic drawing equipment and programs for playing 3D digital games on a computer.
A puzzle game, and here the child is asked in this game to collect a picture, and this picture can be specific to the feast, such as assembling a picture of a sheep to indicate Eid al-Adha.
A bottle with a distinctive shape bearing the child's name, a beautiful wristwatch in distinctive colors suitable for children, and the child's picture can be printed on it.
cups for drinking milk and other beverages that retain heat and cold, memo books, where a beautiful notebook with distinctive colors and drawings can be provided for the child to write his daily diaries on.
We must remind our children that there are poor and needy people who do not taste meat except on the days of Eid, i.e. once a year, and he must thank God bless him. He should not mention the goodness, the grace, and the richness with which he lives before his friends and neighbors who are lower than him; Because Eid is about feeling others and appreciating their feelings. Standing on Mount Arafat for Hajj means compliance with God's will and this wisdom from Him, and it means obedience to God even if the wisdom is hidden from us, just as Ramadan means fasting.
It means that we distribute the best of it to the poor; Because “God is good and only accepts what is good.” Gifting part of the meat to relatives and acquaintances teaches us a beloved Sunnah from the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, which is that he used to say: Give gifts and you will love one another. We must remind our children of the story of our master Abraham and his son Ismail, and that the son complied with his father even in the vision he saw, and God saved him from being slaughtered as a reward for his obedience. Eidiya is not obligatory on Eid, nor are new clothes
Here, we must instill in our children the spirit of conviction that Eid does not mean extravagance, but it does mean visiting and empathizing with others. Ask him to deliver the meat to the homes of the poor, and not to talk about what he has done in front of others, and thus learn that doing good is purely for the sake of God.
Accompany your child to visit the wombs and the elderly, so that he learns how to be righteous and upright, and thus knows that Eid is not only a game and a pastime.
