A 30-year-old British worker discovered by chance that he had a heart disease, after using his friend's smart watch to measure his heart rate, which was more than 100 beats per minute.
Britain Ryan Gap, who lives in a town in north Wales, was surprised, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail", that he urgently needed a transplant after he thought he had a cold, as he felt flu symptoms and shortness of breath.
The frightening data from the smartwatch prompted the worker to rush to the hospital, where he was discovered to have dilated cardiomyopathy that could put him at risk of blood clots and heart failure.
Ryan underwent an emergency surgery to install a heart pump, in preparation for a heart transplant during the 4 years he spent on the waiting list, which forced him to leave work and rest at home.
